We are a small operator in Edinburgh with six trips and our own people in every country we sell. That is the whole business.
Every route starts on paper
The short version
We started in 2011 with one trip and one guide.
Fifteen years later there are six. We add one when we find a route we would go back for and someone in the country we trust to run it, and not otherwise.
That is why the list is short. It is also why we can tell you, in one reply, who will be with you on day three.
Everything is planned in the office here and delivered by people who live where you are going. No handoff to a third party once you land.

Four rules we have not broken yet.

Ten people, maximum
Above ten a walking group stops being a group and starts being a queue.

Nobody guides a route they have not lived on
Our guides are from the valley, the island or the city the trip is in.

The price on the sheet is the price
Flights are yours to book. Everything else on the page is included, and we say what is not.

We will talk you out of the wrong trip
If the one you asked about is not right for you, we will say so and suggest another.
On the ground
The office is in Edinburgh. The work happens elsewhere.
Four of us answer the phone here and plan the departures. Everywhere we sell a trip, we have someone who lives there running it — Morocco, India, Italy, Portugal, Peru and Japan — and they are the reason the trips go the way they do.
